Assisted Living Costs

Monthly “rent” is based upon the care needs of the resident.  A full “needs” assessment is made on admission and periodically by our administrative staff in collaboration with resident and family. Currently Elder Homes price are based on the assessment and room selected. Long term care insurance policies may have provisions for assisted living, especially when owned and operated by Registered Nurses, as are Elder Homes.

One issue to keep in mind when shopping for a Assisted Living Facility in the residential setting is "awake at night" staffing. Some places, which charge a lower fee, will have live-in staffing situation with staff sleeping at night. Elder Homes has staff awake, not just "available" 24 hours a day. This provides a superior service with alert staff available 24/7.
